Infertility

Horrendous morning.

DH and I were snuggled in bed this morning, sound asleep, and all of a sudden, we're woken by a ringing sound.

It was our doorbell.  We look at the clock, and it's 9:00 in the freakin' morning!  He teaches high school, which means he was 2 hours late, so the assistant principal came looking for him because they were all worried. It seems we slept through the phone ringing as well as our stupid alarm clock.

Fabulous.  I know what my issue is - I didn't get to sleep until around 4am.  Him, I'm not sure.  The alarm clock?  It's fired.  So is the dog.  Usually, she's up before either of us.  Not a peep from her.  Traitor.

He's freaking out.  I feel like it's my fault somehow.  What a lovely way to have a Friday.

  • oh no!! I hope the principal isn't too mad - everyone messes up now and then.

I can't believe your dog didn't wake you though - we are awakened daily at 6:30am by our animals. They don't understand weekends.

OMG, That is terrible. That is my worst nightmare. Your poor DH.  It's not your fault.  I feel so bad. Did your DH come up with a good excuse?

  • Oddly, the principal is in France.  And the AP is a non-confrontational type, so hopefully it will blow over.  I'm just so pleased that my DH works for someone who is checking to make sure he's okay, rather than calling to yell at him.

I don't even know.  I don't sleep in much so I hid in the bedroom while he was talking to her.  I can't even imagine how embarrassed he must feel!

  • On NO. That sucks. I am surprised the dog didn't wake you. I hope he won't get in trouble.
