Babies: 0 - 3 Months

question for those with babies who STTN

where does your baby sleep?

I'm asking b/c my DS has always slept in the PNP in our room. He usually sleeps 9-12ish, then 12ish-2 but after that he is up every hour. At 3am last night I put him in his crib in his nursery, and we slept SO much better. We couldn't hear all of his frustrated noises when he poops, and the random cry here and there. but when he wanted to eat at 5:50 he let me know and I got him. I'm thinking that this is the only way for him (or us) to sleep longer stretches and I'm wondering what others do.

  • PNP next to my bed. 11-7/8 at 4 weeks. Now she goes down anywhere from 8/10 until 7/8am.

  • Our DD has always been in her crib. She has been sleeping from 9 to 7 since about a month old. Before that it was 12 to 7.
  • Started putting DS in his crib right before 2 months and he's been sleeping much better!  He still wakes up 1-2 times but his first stretch of sleep is anywhere from 7-10 hours.

  • In his crib, we wanted him in our room but he's a snorer! And a loud one at that, but since 6 weeks he's been sleeping from 9 to 7

  • DS was in his crib from night #2. We swaddled him in the beginning, now we use the swaddleME but keep his arms out so it acts like a little blanket.

He has STTN since he was 2.5 months old. Now at almost 5 months old he sleeps about 10-12 hrs.

  • He doesn't STTN yet but he starts out in his crib and sleeps from 9-1, then he's in our room in the cosleeper.

When we moved Charlie to his crib at 2 mos, he went from 5 hrs to 8 in one night. Logan and I both just aren't ready yet.

  • We put DS in his crib last weekend, and all of us have been sleeping so much better!  I think that DS is a pretty light sleeper, so he does better when he can't hear DH snoring or the dog moving around.  It is a little sad not to have him in the same room with us anymore though.

  • He sleeps in his crib in his room, and I have the monitor on its lower volume. We both sleep better that way.

When he was a newborn he slept in our room in his PNP, but we all slept like crap. When he was 3 wks old I couldn't take it anymore and moved his PNP into the living room (within earshot of our bedroom) and we all slept better. Once he started sttn I moved him into his room.

    Yup, us too

  • We had always planned to put him in the crib from day one. But then he was a preemie and then he had brain surgery and I felt the need to have him in our room in the bassinette.

We've been putting him down around 7-8 in his crib and then when he wakes up (around 2 or 3) he's been back in the bassinette. Last night, he woke up at 11 to eat, I fed him, put him in his crib and he slept until 6:30!!!!!!!!! It was heaven. I think it might be time for the crib... *sniff*

  • DD has been in her crib since day 1... she slept from about 9-5 after about two months... regressed at 4 months for a few weeks, and now sleeps from 8:30-6:30 or so.

  • PnP in our room, but it's not right next to our bed. Goes down about 9 and gets up at 7ish, eats, then back to bed until 10.
