bf'ing moms?

I'm having pain in one breast not the nipple but more like on top, also last night I was sweating like crazy and felt very sick. I felt better today still very sweaty - then was looking up what it could be and found clogged duct - would you call dr.? if it was better today? ?

has this happened to any of you??

    i think this sounds much more like mastitis, so YES call the Dr.

    This.  Sounds exactly like my round of mastitis.  It *can* pass on its own, but if it doesn't, it's going to get much worse.  Take a simple round of antibiotics, and your boob will stop hurting.

    Is it red and warm to the touch where it's sore?

    ETA:  Get the anti-biotics from your doc.... Don't go taking some you have left over somewhere.  Get it properly diagnosed by the doc, and let them give you the cure.

    I had a clogged duct and just kept feeding from that side until it cleared up. If your feeling sick take your temp. if you have a fever its probably an infection and you need to call the dr.

    Sounds like mastitis. I hated it. Go to the doc.

    I had a clogged duct with DS, it felt like a chunk of my boob was on fire.  I found that a hot compress and massage, as well as pumping and nursing through the pain helped a lot.
