With my 2nd I had a UTI, then infection, then internal bruising at my incision so 4 weeks until I could walk w/o pain. We went to a cocktail party at 4 weeeks and I lasted 1.5 hours. Had to go home. I just went back to church last week.
About 5 weeks before I could do everything. But I still had to take it a little easy (no scrubbing floors, etc). But after about 2 weeks I could resume most things.

Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress. Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage. Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm. 27 days in the NICU. Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely. My tough little cookie.
I went to the grocery store 7 days after mine. It was a VERY short trip and it was more to get out of the house... I went with my mom while DH was with DD. I really didn't start normal routines for about 2 weeks pp. Even then I was a little tender.

honestly it took me a while, probably close to 4 weeks. my c/s was the first surgery i have ever had (besides my wisdom teeth) and for some reason my pp bleeding was really heavy after i did anything normal. i think i tried to do too much too fast and this delayed my recovery

I felt almost normal by the time I left the hospital. My PP bleeding lasted a long time, but I had a great recovery. My MIL made me take it easy, but I was up and down stairs with no problem and we were at Target the next day.
within a week. Walking made me feel better! I'd hold off on the housework though...no heavy lifting!
