Baptism outfits for boys that aren't dorky.

I have the most beautiful irish linen gown from DD waitnig in the closet, too bad we can't use it.

Has anyone found somewhere to purchase an outfit for boys?

  • I hated all of them I saw for Gabe.  We didn't do a baptism, but a child dedication, so it was a little less formal.I put him in pants with a shirt and vest.

  • why cant you use it? ?i would.

It's pretty girly, it has embroidered flowers. If it were plain I would.  DS#1 wore a gown, it was a family heirloom, over a hundred years old, but it is too fragile to use now.

  • My ds's gown had embroidered flowers and lace. I was baptized in it and so was my brother and my cousins. I didn't think it was too girly, it was special.
  • Aw that's a shame about the heirloom gown.  Both of my boys had the most beautiful linen gowns, and they didn't look girly at all.
  • I'm not doing a gown for ds's baptism, I got him a sweater vest and khakis to wear

it's been awhile since I've looked at it.  Maybe without the bonnet it's not as girly....

  • both my sons wore a satin tux looking outfit from Sears!!
  • It is so hard to find outfits for boys!  We got him a little tux outfit from Dillards.  It was all white and had a long shirt, pants, and a little vest to go along with it.  It worked out great.
