How do you feel about Gregory?

My grandmother wanted my older brother to be named Gregory. My parents didn't like it. I'm not pregnant yet, but we are TTC. We like older names that aren't common. We aren't using middle names. What are your thoughts??

Re: How do you feel about Gregory?

  • I love the name Gregory/ Greg. Not only is it my husbands name, but I have always liked it. I think its a great name.

Interesting...I'd have to think about it. Thanks for the suggestion!?

    I love Gregory.?
  • I like the name but DH does not like it.  I think it reminds him of House.

  • I really like it!  It was on my boy-list, but DH vetoed it since it's the name of one of his dad's cousins (whatever, but it's not an issue anymore anyway).
  • I love it, but that's because it's my hubby's name!!  We are most likely naming our boy Nathan Gregory!
  • I like it a lot.  It's a good, solid boys name that has been around a long time and has staying power without ever becoming too trendy.

  • Me likey!  I've always loved the nn Greg as well. It would've been on our list, but is too close to our last name.
  • I don't really care for it except as a nice middle name.  And yes, it is my husband's name.
  • It's my FIL's name.  I love it. Very strong and classic, but not very common right now (which is pretty much my recipe for a perfect name).
