Is anyone doing a theme for...

DC 1st birthday party? I am kinda torn with this one. I want to then i kinda dont. She really isnt into anything at this point, I am having the party in my backyard. I was just wondering what you ladies may be doing.

  • Ladybugs. I found it on BirthdayExpress.com. It's cute and was inexpensive.

  • Our theme is going to be "Yay, we have a sitter, let's celebrate making it through a year!"

(After D smashes her cake and we have the appropriate photo ops, of course.)

  • Oops, sorry. That was our invites and favors.

    This was really our theme.

  • My sister had a maui theme for my niece. She kind of went over the top considering my niece was 1! She will not remember this...

Our theme is going to be "Birthday." I love parties (I'm actually a party planner), but when the guest of honor has no clue what's going on, is it worth going exotic?

I like the ladybug and duck ideas. Those are obviously for babies/children.

Ditto!  We're doing a Ladybug theme too, 1stwishes.com.  Very excited, it should be cute.  My DH has a co-worker who does cute cakes, she did them for his work baby shower, so she'll be making a ladybug cake too.

  • snow white which is turning out to be impossible. DD loves her snow white doll. Everytime we went to the Disney store she'd squeal w/ excitement over snow white so I bought her one. I didn't think a snow white only theme would be so hard. Tinkerbell and cinderella are easy to find, snow white is a PITA. Lots of stuff on ebay though so I may just go that route. Ours is a back yard party too so I'm not even trying to go all out. I just want some streamer or something w/ snow white to hang from the tent we'll put up, a snow white pinata (lots of cousins that will benefit from a pinata filled w/ stickers) and plates & napkins
