DH and I are idiots, please help.

If you are at all technologically inclined, please take pity on two dimwits.

We are trying to copy the mini DVD from our camcorder to our computer so that we can upload the video to Utube. I never cared about doing this in the past, but my gram is in the hospital and my mother has laid on a boat load of Catholic guilt about how video of DD is all gram cares about. So please help! My computer won't read the mini dvd and my husband can only get his laptop to copy audio. Any thoughts here?

    you need the correct cable, I believe I use the firewire, put the tape into the camcorder, attach camcorder to the PC and upload to a software, I use Pinnacle Studio, you might have a success with Nero as well. As far as I know you need a program like the 2 above in order to upload the video; you will then need to convert it to the correct format in order to put it online - it's not that simple (not like jpgs)

    I'm having the same problem :o( My video camera is apparently not mac compatible so I can't get the videos up at all :o(
