yup, but there's a few others that also should consider it too.
I don't know everyone's histories re: snark, but I know I have snarked a few times in the past and for that reason am not sure I should "apply." I may answer some questions for posterity's sake tho.

Actually I'd vote for someone like thatgirlang or Mama Jen.
ITA. I'm not saying I agree or disagree w/ snarking, but I don't think a big time snarker who is super popular w/ her group would make a good mod. JMO.

I think Red is very outspoken (Not mean) and doesn't sit on the sidelines. That's important in a mod.

I do agree with that and whether I like it or not, I just don't think someone who is very snarky and gets involved w/ drama (good or bad) would make a good mod is all.
I just want to say I wasn't trying to bash red. I was just thinking of people who can enjoy a good snark and a good puppies and rainbow post to keep with the whole objective thing.
I think we all know how Red feels about puppies and rainbows
Popularity doesn't beget a good mod IMHO. In my experience on various message boards, it's better to have impartial Mods who are in the background.
I couldn?t have said it better. Popularity shouldn?t be a factor in ?Mod? status. You need someone who?s in the background and not known as much. I personally would not pick Red she has some down falls that I?ve seen and can be one sided at times.

While a good mod may not be a total snarker its not always puppies and rainbows either, it is important that a person who wants to be a mod knows the difference between disagreements and flat out rude as well as stalker posters and jokers. However with the new mod whom ever it is we need to watch out that we follow the rules. JMO
I wouldn't want to be a moderator. I run my own design forum in addition to running my own business. It's a big commitment.
And frankly, I'm too outspoken to want to appear neutral. There's too much spineless, passive aggressive stuff on here coupled with the outrageous behaviour of the stalker trolls, ? I just can't sit back and ignore it or be Switzerland about.
I agree with Mavila I'm not an ambassador for the P&R types of the board. I also call it like I see it, which isn't snarky it's honesty - something a few others need to learn a thing or two about, but their heads are too far up their own butts to happen any time soon.?

I thought moderators were supposed to sit on the sideline until action is needed. Impartial and unbiased?
Also not bashing Red. She's smart enough to know that.

Sidelines are totally not my style. Absolutely agree without a doubt.?

Exactly - you said it better than I did.
I can see that, but I also would want a Mod whom I KNOW would definitely fight for us/help get rid of serious crap - like stalkers.?
We can have different ideas on the Mod issue. I don't want this to turn into a Red bashing post.

Eh, I don't think anyone is bashing red. I often love what she brings to the board... I just don't want that in a mod.

RED is HeyyRed. ?She's cool and fights for us.?

I think Mama Jen is also Bump Jen...just so ya know.
And I hate to break the news to some of ya'll, but just how you feel about Red....she feels about you. Just something to think about.
