2nd Trimester

I just read an interesting post from earlier today

About TMI warnings on the thread title.  Most of the time I think it is funny when people post that followed with, "I'm constipated".  Honey if you think that is TMI this is going to be a long road.  Anyway, I continue reading the responses and am chuckling to myself and silently agree.  That is, until I get to a post from a dude about how his wife tastes different now and how much thicker her secretions are.  Hmmm . . .

WTH???? I must have missed the post from the hubby about how his wife tastes, that truly is TMI.

  • Hmm Yeah I'd say that deserves a TMI!
  • No doubt.  I'm am a nurse and usually things don't skeeve me out, but that one totally did.  He even went as far as to say that he felt like he needed to wipe her down before he went down on her.  I just think this is so wrong.  And the weird thing is, if one of you girls said it, I would have no problem with it at all!  I even enjoyed to post one night about sex clean-up and waddling to the bathroom with an old t-shirt between the legs!

What I personally think is more wrong is a DH on "our" website! I mean it would be one thing the lurk and read what is normal/not normal but to post is TOO much for me.

    Yes Totally agree.

I agree too. Maybe that's why it feels like it's TMI. Kinda creepy hearing some guy talk like that about his wife. If one of you girls said something like that though it wouldn't phase me.
  • That seems sexist for me.  So as much as you all talk about your man being involved in "the birth experience" and how much you want support and input, you all still just feel that this place is the reverse equivalent of the little rascal's "no girls allowed" club?  Especially when you consider that the usernames are tied in with the knot (a place I posted on a lot with a different username that unfortunately would link me with my wife, whom I'm keeping secret as I don't want her attacked) and other boards that involve discussion of parenting in general, discussions that men most certainly belong in.

As for the TMI post, I admit, I took the original posters statement as a challenge.  My post there is total MUD.  I have not had this issue myself, though I've had a few male friends that HAVE and asked my opnion before.  (I tend to be the guy that EVERYONE asks everything of.  )
