There's a local gal who is running a special this month for what is half price of her regular price. She's going to take 2-3 hours of photos, were going to 3 different places (one being in studio), and I get a cd with all of the edited pictures (between 60 and 80). All for $75. That sounds like a good deal? I wanted to go this route instead of one of the photo studios like Penney's or Sears.

Re: Am I getting a good deal for pictures?
Definitely a good price- do you get to print off pictures from the CD though?
But 2-3 HOURS?? That's waaaaay overkill for baby pictures. You're better off sticking with one location (maybe inside and outside of the same place?) and just doing as many pics as you can.

As a photographer... it is so important to plan that extra time. If LO is fussy, has a blow out, or something else comes up you do not want to rush her.
As long as you like the photographer's work, you are getting a good deal.?

Yes, they will be edited pictures. And this is a second job for her. It's not the only thing she does. But she does have a studio, and I know several people who have used her, and I've seen more than a gagillion pictures she's done, and there hasn't been anything I wasn't impressed with.
