Anyone take/taken Promethazine???

So my doc (OB) called this RX in for me today for nausea. I've only heard of pg women taking Zofran, anyone else take promethazine? I'm sure it's safe for pg women or she wouldn't have called it in, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken this.

    didn't take it myself, but LOTS of pregnant women have used this medication.  it has been around much longer than zofran and is well studied in pregnancy and very safe.

    the only disadvantage is that phenergan (promethazine) can be quite sedating.

    Thanks for the feedback ladies! Yes, it is sedative...I shouldn't drive or go anywhere when I take this stuff, it's powerful. Good night girls! :)
