Tantrum throwing...

My son has gotten a lot more challenging lately (at a ripe old age of 7 months). He throws tantrums at any chance he gets, when he sees his bottle & hasn't gotten it quite yet, when he is done eating solid food, bored playing, tired, etc. He sreams & throws his body around. Is there any way to teach them so young that that behavior is not okay?

Re: Tantrum throwing...

  • We've started this a bit too. If it's because she's being impatient, I just keep talking calmly like normal and don't give too much reaction. If she's being impatient eating, I say shh and don't give her a bite until she stops. If she's frustrated because she's trying to walk or stand and keeps falling, I'll give her a hug for support.

  • I'm pretty much doing what the pp mentioned.  DS has really started doing this lately, it's hard to know what to do.
