At my post-op meeting with RE, we did an antral follicle count and discussed my upcoming IVF cycle. He said that he recommends donor eggs due to my low follicle count and elevated FSH. We were hoping to do PGD to rule out chromosomal problems but he said that it's highly unlikely that my eggs would even make it to day 5 due to their poor quality. What a tough blow to take

Re: Having a really HARD day
I'm sorry. That's really hard to hear.
There is a free teleseminar offered by Resolve tomorrow night about low ovarian reserve. Don't know if that will offer any insight/thoughts.

I have a low antral follicle count (6-7 total both sides), but I do get GREAT quality eggs. I just can't get them to stick (implantation problems). Its hard to tell until you actually go through the IVF process. Its an expensive experiment though.
I am so sorry! ?I can only imagine how you must be feeling. ?Are you OOP for IVF? ?If you have coverage, I would still try once with your own eggs. ?
I am OOP, and we have our consult on Monday. ?I am scared out of my mind!
Good luck to you, and please let us know what you decide to do.?
Hi there, I am so sorry to hear you have to go through this. Good luck and keep us updated. (hug).
I'm so sorry. ((((hugs))))
