NBR: those with angled bob haircuts, come in!

I can't find my previous post where I questioned cutting my hair into a mom 'do, but I am contemplating this haircut, and someone mentioned that they are still able to pull hair into a ponytail. Is anyone able to do this, and if so, do you have a pic so I can see how that works? I have been all over the internet trying to find pics of a long angled bob so that I can pull it back if needed, but I am comin up with nothin. Thanks!

  • Mine is long enough in the front that I can pull most of it up and out of my face. It's not long enough for a full pony tail! It's a really easy style. It takes about 10 minutes for me to do my hair and that's it!

  • Mine is FIIIINALLY getting long enough to put in a half pony tail.  The front pieces that are longer I am able to pull back with the shorter back part down.  I can't put all of it up yet.  Its was a PITA before because it was too short to pull back and pumping/feeding DD was frustrating if it wasn't pinned back because it would fall in my face.  I am just going to keep letting it grow.

  • I can pull mine into a half ponytail. There is still some hair left on the bottom but it looks cute up!  Let me see if I can find a pic of my haircut...

it's a little old but I still have the same cut...it's shorter in the back and I can still pull it half up.  I love it because it's not too short but it's still go the bob look.

  • I used to have my hair cut like that and let it grow out. I could only get my hair half up with that cut

I got the angled bob last summer! When I had it, the back was VERY short and I was still able to make a ponytail, though it was a sad/pathetic one. I also had to bobby pin the longer front pieces back since they wouldn't reach the hair tie. I think a longer one would have no problems at all making a ponytail!

I went from having 3 ft of hair to the bob. It was AWESOME. No more headaches, shorter showers and getting ready time! Loved it!

Oh and I have a round face and it totally went with my face shape!

    Sorry, no ponytail pics:

  • Thanks for posting pics ladies! I love both of your cuts. I'm ready to chop my hair short (like yours) because I am so sick of DS grabbing on. Now, I just need to figure out how short to go.
  • such awesome pics ladies! I LOVE the bangs on both of your cuts! I'm sold on the cut now. My hair is so long and I am over it.
  • I have a love/hate relationship w/ the stacked bob. ?On one hand, it is probably the most flattering haircut on me; on the other hand the only part long enough to pull back is the bangs so I end up looking like a Shih-Tzu.

If it were long enough to brush your shoulders I would think that's long enough to pull back into a decent looking ponytail, but then it's not really a bob.?

  • I can only pull it up halfway.  I tend to pull just my bangs back if I want my hair off of my face.
  • I just got a long angled bob cut yesterday on the advice of ladies here.  I am super happy with it! I specifically told my hairdresser that I wanted to be able to pull it back and did earlier today.  HTH.

ETA:  Sorry no pics. DH is out of town.  My self pics are pathetic.
