Do you plan to do any sort of vow renewal or big anniversary celebration? If so, what and after how many years?

I hope to have a big anniversary reception at 10 years. I'd like to be able to invite a lot of the people we had at our wedding and all our new friends. I don't want to do a vow renewal, but we will have the reception just like a wedding reception - fancy dress, nice dinner, big fancy cake, etc.

There are so many people that don't make it ten years and I think these days, especially, it's really something worth recognizing.

We would like to take a big trip to Italy which is where DH proposed to me. For our 10 year anniversery. I really want to go to Venice and back to Rome and Capri and so many other cities. But those are a must.

5 years we plan to go on our honeymoon again....Puerto Vallarta here I come. At ten years we will do vow renewal in Hawaii.

DH and I were just talking about this the other night. We're not much for a vow renewal but we'd like to go back to Hawaii for our 10 year anniversary.

DH and I will likey take off on a trip for 5 and 10 years... and I want some rubies (twinkies birthstone; mine and DJ's too) added to either side of , my engagement ring.... I never did want a solitaire , I wanted a 3stone (dont tell dh.... )

I'd love to do a vow renewal at 15 years. ?At that point, Evie and baby #2 will be old enough to participate and understand what it means. ?I don't want a huge ceremony or anything, I was thinking just DH and I and the kids on a beach in Fiji.

DH is always talking about how he wants us to "get married again" but I'm just not interested. I'd rather take a vacation.?

Maybe I should let him plan everything and see how long it takes him to decide the Caribbean sounds better. ?

I'm hoping we can go back to Hawaii occasionally (previously we talked about every 5 years). Not sure if we would go back right on our anniversary (June) because I would love to go to Hawaii when the weather in our wonderful pacific nw isn't the best and the days are shorter here.

Not sure we would do a vow renewal - maybe at some big anniversary if we convinced some family to come too.

We had so many different ideas about what kind of wedding we wanted, that it just seemed natural for us to do a renewal every ten years. (high school reunions are every ten years)

The Vegas renewal is going to be awesome...we're going to be married by Elvis, he'll be in a Rat Pack suit, and I'll be in a gorgeous replica of an early 60s suit with a pill box veil.

We got married in October, but we already talk about planning a vow renewal, maybe at 5 years. We would love to renew our vows on a beach in Hawaii (where we went for HM). No party, no reception, no other family or friends included. I think it would be a great excuse to go back to Hawaii! My sister insists it will never happen and in 5 years we'll be wondering which Disney park to take kids to. :-)

DH and I got married on the beach in Hawaii..(just the two of us, no big wedding) and I would love to go back for our 5 year anniversary for a couple of weeks and include a vow renewal. I think a big party would be nice for the 10 year, 'cause Nathan (the baby#2 if we have one) will be old enought to participate.
