Menu help please...does plain mean nothing on it?

Or does that mean nothing special? DH is back in class so I can't get a hold of him and he emailed me the "menu" for everyones lunch, he has me going to in and out and one of the double doubles says "Plain" wtf is that, nothing on it?

  • At first I was like duh plain means nothing on it.

But then realized that some people say plain to mean original.

I would get it with nothing on it and ask for condiments on the side.

  • Plain means nothing on it.....

  • I would guess "plain" means nothing on it. You could wait until you order, say "plain" and hope the person taking the order knows what it means!

  • Just say plain and they will know what you mean. ?And this way even if you get it wrong you can tell the person who ordered it that you asked for exactly what was written down.

You should double check when placing the order or be specific about what you do or don't want. I don't like mayo or mustard and like to get the lettuce, tomato, etc on the side but sometimes plain doesn't mean without accondiments, I've found out the hard way.
  • To me plain means no extras - so if you order a burger plain, you still get the meat and cheese on it, but no lettuce/tomato/pickle etc. Some places also have 'dry' which means no mayo/mustard/etc. GL!
