How is it possible? I'm absolutely STARVING today but my GERD is worse than ever and whenever I eat, I feel terrible. Why?
I think the pregnancy gods are taking revenge on me for my lack of morning sickness (didn't have any) and have decided to bring on the reflux hell now. I've suffered with GERD for years (several Upper GIs and Endoscopys) and expected to have issues?but I was thinking 3rd tri and not at nearly 21 weeks.
Now I'm waiting for my OB's office to call me back and let me know if I can take Tums while taking a Rx of Tagamet. I think I can but want to be sure.
Re: Starving AND Reflux Issues
i'm so with you!! i didn't have m/s at all and my reflux is awful. i'm on 150 mg of zantac a day.
Thanks for the suggestions. My OB nixed Prilosec (not sure why) which I did well on before my pregnancy. The Rx I have now isn't as strong. I'm going to talk to my doctor about this?if it doesn't get worse, at my next visit and if it does, sooner.
At least I heard from the nurse that Tums is OK in addition to the Tagamet. My boss (aka Dad) had some in his office and I'm hoping it will do the trick.

Tums are safe, but Rolaids are my favorite (and also safe).
I had GERD in HS and actually had surgery to fix it. I've tried everything on the market. When it comes to OTC, rolaids did the trick!
