Do you wash your hands after using the bathroom?

We have a 3-stall bathroom at work. I was in one, and a coworker was in another. She flushed, walked out of the stall and right out of the bathroom. Is that gross to anybody else? Would you say yes if I told you she pooped--because she did.

Maybe she has hand sanitizer at her desk. I know the thing about all the bacteria on the sinks, etc., but I just use a paper towel to turn on the water. Now I just picture this coworker walking around the office with dirty hands touching stuff. Ick.

yeah that kinda of irks me, i'd love to think that ppl who walk out have hand sanitizer bc i use it sometimes instead of soap and water, but what if they aren't!!!

I don't because I work at a school with some NASTY germs on the door handle. However, I wash them when I get back to my classroom (about 20 feet away), I have a sink in my office.

I don't at school. BUT, there are no doors in between my classroom and the bathroom (except the stall) and the soap is nasty smelling and the sink only runs cold water. I have hospital grade sanitizer at my desk that I use instead.

This is why I tend to open swinging doors with my foot. I'm starting to feel like a real germaphobe.

AGH. This is one of my HUGE peeves. I don't CARE if you have hand sanitizer at your desk. Wash your hands, then use the sanitizer when you get back to your desk! YUCK!

I just do not get this - it's just disgusting - and she should at least be self aware enough to be ashamed into washing since someone else was in there. DIRTY LADY. She eats her own poo eventually.

This is unimaginably disgusting to me, and I'm a bit of a 'nazi' about it. I've said stuff to co-workers, and guests in my house if they don't wash their hands.

At work, I wash all plastic utensils before I use them, b/c these dirty non-washers (incl men- who handle their goods and walk out more often than not) will go straight from the bathroom stall to the kitchen and grope around for a fork for their lunch. I also don't touch the refrigerator door handles, and santize my hands when I get back to my desk, after being in any common areas.

After guests leave my house, I santize all door handles, light switches, faucets, etc, that they may have touched. I know this sounds nuts-o, and my house is far from immaculate, but the dirt that's here is OURS, and it's not a result of not washing our hands.

Speaking of this, I friggin' REAMED out DH for not washing his hands the other day. We have a baby, you dingbat!

Yes, always, and if I'm in the stall next to someone and they don't wash their hands after they're done, I admit to thinking less of them. I'm a germ snob like that. I, too, kick doors instead of touching them with my hand, and if there's a knob I have to pull, I get extra paper towels and use those. I don't go so far as to disinfect doorknobs and light switches after my guests leave the house, though.

Yup, I always wash my hands.

I'm paranoid about spreading germs to DD via my hands, so I use hand sanitizer once I get back to my desk if it's a day I'm in the office. If I use a public restroom I squirt on hand sanitizer after washing my hands, after I leave the restroom.
