NBR: Update on boxer pup

So, we had a long talk last night and decided to get the puppy (he will be 8 weeks old). DH said he wanted to wait until next June, which I think would be 10x harder training a dog then with a 3 year old and a 7 month old. I know it is going to be a lot of work, but we have 7 months before the baby arrives, which should be plenty of time to get the dog trained and adjusted to our family. Wish us luck! I think DH is still cautious and doesn't really want to love another dog after our Max, but hopefully he will come around after he sees the new puppy and I know our DD is going to love him to pieces. Thanks for your advice......

    I have a boxer... and really around 9 months old she all the sudden seemed to grow up and learn the housetraining we had been working on so hard.  So you should be pretty good on your timing... considering your puppy is probably at least 2 months old now.  I love my boxer to pieces.  Good luck!

    Yay! That is so exciting! I'm glad you guys came to an agreement, even if he still has reservations.  Congrats!  Post pictures when he arrives!

    Yay!! Congrats, that's so exciting. Glad your DH came around! It's so fun having a puppy around and I'm sure you guys have missed that. GL on the training!!
