I fear the toddler bed

We were having some plumbing work done yesterday, the pipes are inside one of the walls of the babies' room. They needed to lay down, they were up at 8, it was after 1, they were beat. I figured I would lay them down in my bed.  Lilly was sooo tired, she cuddled right up to me and passed out. But Molly.... oh Molly. Molly would lay still with her blankie until I left the room, then she hopped down and ran around! I went back in, put her back in bed; she laid down, snuggled... then jumped right up as soon as my back was turned! Little turd. She wouldn't go to sleep at all, I ended up telling the plumber that I had to put her in her crib- it was almost 2. I rocked her and put her down. Ugh.... I think we may wait on toddler beds until they are 16. Crying

    i have the same fear!  however, he does sleep perfectly on a cott at daycare with no issues but i think home is a whole different story!

    Hailey is exactly like that.  Now that she's figured out how to climb out of her crib I really need to switch her to a toddler bed but I'm scared!

    I feel the same way!  Parker is all over the place in his sleep!  We attempted to remove the bumper a few months ago.  FAIL!

    I think we're holding off on the toddler bed until he is 2.  Yikes!

    We're starting the toddler bed this weekend... I hope it goes okay... about 2 months ago she started STTN - FINALLY, no tears at all at any point in the night.  I hope the transition goes smoothely.  She LOVES her crib - DH taught her to shake the rail and scream AT-TI-CA, she always want to go in her crib and play Attica.

    I was afraid, too, but DD climbed out of her crib so that scared me, too. But after just a few nights, she was fine. However, if I were you, I totally would hold off as long as possible!
