Man alive, I've got a cold (just in time for our flight tomorrow...yea

)
I called Maddy's pediatrician and I was told I could take Sudafed, but that it would dry up my milk supply. Not good! Did any of you have colds when you were pumping? If so, what did you take and did it dry up your supply?
Re: BFing Mamas - Colds and Milk Supply
I took Sudafed with no troubles at all. It can dehydrate you, so yeah, just keep yourself hydrated. And try not to take it for a zillion days in a row, but if you need to take it to clear you up so you can sleep, totally worth it, IMO. But get the "real" Sudafed. Dont' waste your time on that new PE crap that's on the shelves. Ask the pharmacist for the real deal.
Also, if your worst time is sleeping, take some benadryl... that's safe for BF'ing and will also help you sleep.
The other thing that can help is saline nasal spray.
