BFing Mamas - Colds and Milk Supply

Man alive, I've got a cold (just in time for our flight tomorrow...yea :| ) I called Maddy's pediatrician and I was told I could take Sudafed, but that it would dry up my milk supply. Not good! Did any of you have colds when you were pumping? If so, what did you take and did it dry up your supply?

    i have a cold right now too! the only thing i'm taking is a barley green suplement that boosts your immune system. doesnt mess with my supply.

    My supply was too precious and I didn't want to mess with it so I mostly just drank a lot of tea whenever I was sick. I think I took some Tylenol cold once or twice. Sorry I'm not more help.

    I took Sudafed with no troubles at all.   It can dehydrate you, so yeah, just keep yourself hydrated.  And try not to take it for a zillion days in a row, but if you need to take it to clear you up so you can sleep, totally worth it, IMO.  But get the "real" Sudafed.  Dont' waste your time on that new PE crap that's on the shelves.  Ask the pharmacist for the real deal.

    Also, if your worst time is sleeping, take some benadryl... that's safe for BF'ing and will also help you sleep.

    The other thing that can help is saline nasal spray.
