MIL: We gave a card saying you never know where you will find your next happiness. And a bib that said What happens at Grandmas stays at Grandmas. Her reaction was priceless.
My Mom: Gave her the bib and a card, she thought we were joking and didn't get the bib at first.
My brother and SIL: Both were there and say Moms presents
FIL: Told over the phone as he is out of the country
My mom: I bought a little green onesie that says, "Grandma's Little Doll" on it. I wrapped it up in a green package and made clover sugar cookies since it was St. Patrick's Day. She opened her present, saw "Grandma," and looked at me with big eyes. "Are you pregnant?!" She asked. I said, "YES!" with a huge smile. She screamed and we hugged tight for a while. She kept hugging the onesie and saying, "I'm going to be a grandma!" It was so adorable.?My Dad: We celebrated his birthday and I got him a card that said Happy Birthday Grandpa with an airplane on the front, and on the inside wrote, "I can't wait to meet you! Love, The Poppyseed in K's Belly" He opened the card, saw the plane first and said, "Neat!" Then, "Why...Grandpa?" His head turned so fast to me and he said, "Are you pregnant?" I said yes and he leaned over all slow and gave me a big, tender, hug. He then complained about feeling old...and I told him his hair is gray. He said, "I have no hair!"?Brother: He was there to see Dad's reaction?Sister: Over the phone -- she's away at school. ?In Laws: I let DH call them.Grandparents & Aunts and Uncles and Cousins will find out on Mother's Day! ?
Well, DS was unplanned (DH and I weren't married when I got pregnant with him) and I took my parents, with my sister along for moral support, to IHOP to break that news to them. So it's been a running family joke ever since that when I get pg again, I'd tell them at IHOP. So, I asked my sister to set up the family breakfast this weekend, under the guise of her having a craving for blueberry pancakes. Of course, my parents then asked HER if she had news for them! But, after a few family jokes about telling about pregnancies at IHOP, and my mom picking on my little sister that she better not have any news b/c she kept picking at her food, I finally piped in with a simple "Well, we have news". All eyes widened and mouths dropped- none of them were expecting it, since I'd stayed quiet about it half of the meal! It was rather amusing, actually!
Hi! Don't out me on Pets please. I'm due the 29th, that's why I asked.
I'm going to tell my parents on Mothers Day, because my whole family will be together. I'll just let her open her present, which will be a picture frame that says "Happy Grandmothers Day" and have a picture of my first ultrasound.
For my dd I bought a t-shirt online that says "baby on board" with an arrow pointing to my belly. TOTALLY cheesy, but it was priceless when I just casually unzipped my sweatshirt to wait for everyone to notice it. We used it for whomever we could tell in person, very fun. I plan to use it for this time as well- so it was worth the $25 Don't remember where I ordered it from, but if you Google it, you'll find one.
We bought Custom fortune cookies for cheap on-line. They read "Congratulations! I predict that in 7 months you will be a grandparent!" Then the Lucky Numbers were our due date! I know a lot of people have mentioned that they've done that, but my parents were shocked, and had never heard of someone doing that before.
We took them to dinner and after the waitress took our drink order, I got up to go to the bathroom. I found the waitress and told her to bring our table the fortune cookies with our drinks and to say that the restaurant was doing a contest, and we might win a free meal. We all opened (of course DH & I were looking at their faces the whole time) them and my mother & grandmother didn't get it, and it took my dad to laugh and say, wait is this for real?! Then they all freaked out! It was awesome, my dad's been showing everyone his fortune all weekend!

We picked up the phone. Dialed. And said, "We're pregnant!!!"
NFT.
That's super cute.
We told everyone over the phone. I would have liked to have done something creative, but I couldn't hold it in any longer.?
Ditto, for both pregnancies
My family was in Hawaii when I found out and I couldn't wait till they got home so I called them.
