Just when i feel like i'm getting it figured out.. Baby is starting to sleep longer and be happier.. She's only gained 8 oz in 2 weeks.. My Pedis are pretty adamant about the ounce a day thing.. (which she did for her first two weeks after losing a lot at birth).. Yet somehow she is an inch and a quarter longer than 2 weeks ago and 2.5 inches longer than at birth.. So she's just getting longer and longer and not gaining any weight.. How is this possible?
What am i doing wrong? The Pedi says I can try to give her BM in a bottle after feedings.. but I don't really think thats necessary, since she generally seems happy after feedings.. She has plenty of wet and dirty diapers.. and the dr said she looks perfect other than the weight gain..
Re: *sigh* - more slow weight gain
I am sorry that your little one isn't gaining like your pedi wants. I would think it is good that she is growing lenghtwise even if she isn't gaining weight.
I am sure you aren't doing anything wrong at all. I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I can't offer any advice because I have chunky monkeys and I always have.
