    World News would be the Inauguration of Obama. 

    Local news... the weird weather?  Snow fall? 

    I remember I wanted to watch Bride Wars when it came out but dd was born on opening day so I missed it.  It's not a hit movie though, but you can mention Slumdog Millionaire as the hit movie since it won the Academy Awards this past year. 

    I'm at a loss about the rest.  I should probably start to fill Evelyn's book since I will probbaly forget more and more information the longer I wait.

    I've been googling too - but some of them are hard to find results for - like the fasion trends one....no luck with that yet.

    Fashion Trends: What is your and DH's favorite item of clothing? My mom listed this in ours and I thought it was nice. She listed the stores they shopped at for clothes. Looking back it's fun to see how things change so much. I often think how can our style now ever be in bad taste? Shirt dresses, tall boots, ballernia flats, skinny jeans, big belts, bangs, Sports: The first year after the Sonics left, Ken Griffy Jr comes back, News: I took the front page of the Seattle times and the WSJ on the first day of each month for DS's first year and taped it to that page. It's cheating, I know but we'll always know what the tops story was!   You could also go on line and print off the tv listings so DC can know what shows were popular the year she was born!
