DH just got his AT&T bill today and according to them his employee racked up thousands of dollars in internet minutes on some social networking website. The guy is totally denying it saying he has never heard of this and has never went on the internet from his phone. I am so scared. We do not have $7K to pay for this bill. He went to the store to dispute it and they said it was going to take further investigation....
Re: NBR: Freaking out! $7000 cell bill!!!
I dont know how At&t is but on Verizon if you have multiple phone lines the bill will seperate each phone line and charges.. I would show his employee the bill with his phone number on it and if he still denies it take his phone away until the investigation is over. ...good luck.

that is such crap!!!!!
there should be rules that regulate cell phone bills! if your bill goes like, $100-200 over what it normally is, i think they should call you and let you know so that way you can take care of the problem before it gets to the point that its no even possible to pay...that is sooooo unfair!
That sucks!! I know with AT&T they divide out the bill and usage by line - is your bill the same? Worst case, if you can prove it's his line, you could take him to small claims court. Just a thought if you cannot fix it any other way! I'm assuming this is the first month that this has happened...
DH was on my plan for a year or so and his employee was on his own (all through AT&T). About 2 months ago he went on his own business plan and added his employee to it. I hope if the guy is guilty AT&T will pro rate it.
you just say the word, i will issue a hit on him.
seriously, that is insane. i thought maybe you meant seven HUNDRED. that sucks.
It will take some time to dispute and usually you have to call them to get a solution, the stores have nothign to do with billing.
Your husband should block internet access on his employees cell phones...
Yes please, drive by
Ditto. We had to do this with a former employee because he kept downloading games and ringtones and then denying it. I'd take it out of his next paycheck.
dont know if this helps, but on my att family plan I can look up each line and see who was called or texted at what time.
It made it a lot easier on me when we kept going over our texting limit... so maybe it can help you find out what phone is responsible for the activity and block that number from access.
is it an iPhone? I know someone who traveled to Hawaii and listened to music on the iPhone, and that charged them roaming charges. There is a setting that needs to be turned off, and it is not done automatically, and he had a $8000 bill. He was able to call them and get this resolved.
This is one of the bugs with the iPhone, apparently. he was not on the internet or anything- just listening to music he had already added to the phone.
