Babies on the Brain

Someone tell me

what this game has to do with pregnancy or babies?  I'm searching for games for the 2 upcoming showers I'm throwing for friends and came up with this...

Feel Up
contributed by Cheryl

Two guests stand in the middle of the room facing each other. The hostess or a designated person then blindfolds each player. The hostess then strategically places 5 clothespins on each player. The players then must "feel up" the other player to find the clothespins on the other player. Whoever gets the most clothespins in the designated time (usually 1 minute) is the WINNER! Lots of laughs!

Um.... Ok??!  Yes

  • Games are not fun at showers.  Please do not torcher(sp) your guest.

Ditto this.  The last shower I went to they played 6 games, no kidding, and each longer than the first.  One by one, we all started slipping out to the kitchen, and then slowly started slipping out the door.  I think there were maybe 10 people still there when I left, and that included the expectant mom, her mom, and her grandma!

I will never ever throw a shower with games.

I personally agree, but most of the guests at both showers are older adults who love the cheesy games.  Both moms-to-be have told me they figured we'd have games and it's fine with them.  Just trying to please everyone!

  • Hmm  no idea how that makes sense at a baby shower.

My friend had a cocktail party for her shower. She could only drink mocktails but everyone had fun.

  • I don't understand why people don't like games? I had games at my bridal shower and they were fun as far as games go......but maybe it's because I've never beent to a baby shower....
  • That definitely sounds like something 13 yr old boys and girls would enjoy playing Stick out tongue

  • Indifferent Sounds more like something you'd play at a Bachlorette party after a few cocktails! I might nix this one from the list...

What other games do you have planned?

  • I think one (maybe two if they're short) game is fun at a shower, but too many and it gets boooring.  The most memorable baby shower game I've played is: hosts melted different chocolate bars in diapers, then passed around the diapers and made people guess which brand candy bar was in it.  Kinda gross, but also funny.

The dirty diaper game is on my list!  I've never played it before but it sounds fun.  Not sure what else yet... I'm still googling.  :)

  • This site has some pretty decent games on them (all though I hate the "Never Say Baby" game). Hope it helps in your search!
