  Are you on strict bed rest, or modified?

  Mine is in between strict and modified... ?I can use the bathroom, shower, fix lunch, and venture out of the house for an hour or two every once in a great while as long as I'll be sitting the whole time I'm out and am laying down before and lay down after. ?Basically, I am supposed to lay down as much as humanly possible as often as possible. ?Other than that, drink a ton of water, take my meds, don't lift anything heavy, and no sex.

  I was on strict.  Only was allowed to go to the bathroom and take one shower/day.  I was able to leave my bed and go to the couch for the day.  I wasn't able to cook, clean, or really do anything but lay on the couch all day.  I was able to go to appts either once/week or twice/week but those were my only outings...i had someone drive me to appts and drop me off at the front door and I took the elevator up to the second floor of the building.  That's something u should discuss with your Dr cuz everyone has different opinions.

  I'm kindof in between strict and modified. I can take one quick shower/day, go to the bathroom, make my lunch like a sandwich, move from the bed to the couch and I can work 4 hours a day from the couch. I'm suppose to be on my left side most of the day through which is tough when trying to work. No sex, lifting anything, cleaning, cooking etc.

  I began on strict...catheter so no exiting the hospital bed for any reason.  I laid on my left side, and was allowed to sit up a bit in bed just for meals 2 times a day.

  After a month we went home for modified bedrest, which meant i had to stay lying down, only allowed to get up to go to the bathroom, and allowed one shower every 2 days.  No heating up meals or anything like that.

  Im on modified
  

  I have to be on either bed or couch. I have been sitting for part of the day as long as Im on my butt the dr said it was okay.... just not all day.
  

  Can get up to pee or get myself a drink (preferably in 1 trip) . Im allowed a 5 minute shower everyday.

  Sorry to take so long to respond, I clarified w/ Nurse yesterday. Seems just to be Modified right now. No nesting, driving, short showers, meals...With all the water I have to drink, I'm using the bathroom more than anything.
