::Raises hand:: I am so guilty of this, but I just cannot help myself. I love to see what was purchased and today two of our big items were bought! I am so excited right now, I can't even stand it! haha
I'm soooo guilty of that .... two of my main items were bought already .... then again my mom called me and told me her and another realtive made the purchases .....
I swear I don't mean to - but sometimes I am looking something up and I want to grab the number off the registry. No one has bought anything yet though (which is understandable).
When I looked at it last night to show my grandmother the crib (which she offered to buy!!!), I realized that a bunch of stuff was no longer available - including our stroller!!! YIkes!!
My mom and my sisters went in together to buy us the bedding set, with all of the accessories (lamp, nightlight, mobile, blanket...... you get the idea) and that was a huge purchase, so I know about that one. But someone bought us our travel system, and I cannot for the life of me figure out who it would be. (our invititations went out today so many people dont even know where we are registered) The only one I can think of is my MIL (travel system) becasue she was mad that my mom and sisters bought all of the bedding. (Her exact words to my mom were "Gee, Carol, did you leave anything on the registry for anything else to buy" )
I have only barely started my registry (tons of time still, just didn't want to forget what I really liked). But I was totally guilty of this with my wedding. When it got to be only a few months before, I would look multiple times a day. I know I will be just as bad (if not worse) with the baby's registry.
I too am totally guilty of this! ?I also have a?tendency?of constantly updating my registry. ?And it's only going to get worse the closer we get to the shower. I don't mean to be greedy, but it's just fun getting gifts.

Yes. I find the idea that checking is somehow taboo to be completely silly. I may see that something was bought, but I have no idea who got it for me. Not to mention, I'd rather know if something is wrong before the shower, than show up and find that half my guests bought random stuff because my registry was empty ... or that I'm receiving 7 of the same thing due to a glitch.
