I thought the kitchen sink was a hot spot for bacteria/germs. So everytime I hear someone say they bathe their baby in the sink, I think why? Am I missing something?
I put Masens tub in the sink. So much easier than being down on the floor at the tub. If I were going to bathe him directly in the sink, I would clean and disinfect it first.
I used to put the infant tub in the kitchen sink, it fit perfectly. It is nice not to have to roll over. Now that DD can sit up on her own, we use the Munchkin duck tub.

I'm totally with you on this. Ever since I read that your kitchen sink is typically dirtier than your toilet, the thought of bathing my kid in there freaks me out.
Yeah, unless it's bleached daily, it's germy as all hell. We put DD's Euro tub on the counter next to the sink, so we get the best of both worlds: clean tub, counter height, easy on the back, and the convenience of having the faucet and sprayer right there, plus the ability to drain the tub directly into the sink.
DH asked me this yesterday when I showed him a picture of a baby in the sink. "Who gives their baby a bath in the sink? I mean I was bathed in the sink when I was a baby but my parents were poor" LOL (Not saying you are poor or anything just quoting DH). We have a tub that I put across our bath tub since we have a cubby hole in the center of the wall. I sit on the toilet while he plays.
I personally think it is gross and once my DD no longer needed a sponge bath on the bathroom counter on a towel she was in her infant tub that was sitting in our bathtub.

Ditto, plus I don't have to store a baby tub.
