3rd Trimester

My water broke this morning!

I didn't even realize it at first! I went to work and noticed a lot of leakage, called the dr. had me come in and sure enough my water had broken! They sent me home and if I don't start having contractions today they will induce me tomorrow morning! I'm hoping I don't have to get induced that I'll go on my own.

Now, what do I do to pass the time!

  • Oh wow, congrats! How exciting.

I would just relax, if you already have everything ready for baby.

Try and take a nap... GL

  • How exciting! If i were you, I'd eat and get lots of rest. You will need the energy!

  • Yayy! congrats & good luck!
  • Congrats!! Just a question..why didn't they keep you in the hospital? Mine broke with my DS, and I delivered 7 hours later. Was just wondering.  Enjoy your evening!

  • Great news - congrats!  I hope you have an easy labor.  Keep us updated!
  • How exciting!  Good luck with everything.
  • Dont be scared if they do have to induce you ... it don't hurt. But good luck hopefully I go any day now.
  • How exciting - Good luck!  You should definitely rest up, you don't know how long you will be in labor.  I don't know that I would be able to rest myself, but I would probably try.
  • That's really odd that they sent you home with the high risk of infection. Every doctor/hospital that I know want you to come in immediately if your water breaks so you don't get an infection.  And on top of that, I gave birth 8 hours after my water broke so that's another thing that seems odd to me.

    Good luck anyhow!

  • Good luck! Sleep as much as you can today because I'm sure your contractions are just around the corner!
