We got it down to every other week while DH was laid off. Now that he's back to work, I think I'll do once a week partly because I can afford to get fresher food more often and also to get DS and myself out of the house.
well there is a grocery store about a 20 minute walk from our house so for something to do outside I take River for a walk there twice a week depending on the weather. We just get a few things when we go. Then about once everyother week we do a big shopping trip at Costco or Superstore. My H likes to cook so he will sometimes stop and pick up random things for dinner. I suspect we shop more than most people.
About 2 times a week. I do a big shop for the week and i always forget something, or they were out of something, or we change our mind, or I want something at a different market so I usually end up stopping back in.

so, for you biweekly shoppers, do you eat a lot of frozen veggies and fruits? or canned? do you freeze meat, I assume. what about milk? And you are organized enough that you plan meals for 2 weeks? Admirable...my brain can't do that. I am working on it though.
Every two weeks. We eat frozen veggies, or I freeze fresh stuff that we buy. I buy meat in bulk and keep it frozen. I buy two gallons of milk at a time. I jot down on the calendar what we are going to have, but usually we eat leftovers on at least 3 or 4 nights (I am Mexican and cook for a huge family gathering even when it is just us two, lol) so I have some things for the next two weeks already ready to go. Occassionally we run out of milk before the two week marker and we will run to the store for milk and bread, something like that.
I do meat (freezable), staples and shelf stable stuff once a month. I do fresh vegetables as needed. If I buy them even once a week assuming I'll use, say, peppers on Tuesday, something always ends up happening and they go bad and get thrown away. Plus, it lets me take advantage of sales. My husband loves bagged salad mix, but instead of $3 a bag, I can get it for 99 cents if I buy it the day we use it. I also love my one market for meat, and when I am there for veggies, I can always check out their butcher manager's specials, which are phenomenal. Last week, I got lamb chops for 99 cents a pound.

I do major shopping biweekly and then stop in at the store for thinks like milk and lunch meat about once per week. Other meats we freeze, we do frozen veggies (never canned), but also a lot of the produce we buy will last for the full two weeks (onions, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, apples, etc)
I do meal plan for the full two weeks - I think you'd practically have to in order to avoid waste. I've found that this saves me about 25% on my grocery bill because I have fewer chances to pick up a bunch of random stuff
Almost every day. There is a grocery store about a minute's walk from my house. I usually go there with DD every day if we're out walking. I can decide what I feel like having for dinner and then go get it.
We do our major shopping every two weeks (i'm actually making the list right now). I hate grocery shopping so I like to get it out of the way. Plus, we're on a really tight budget and, as a pp said, it helps to not pick up things we don't need just because we're there. I first go through my recipes and recipes online or in cookbooks, then make a list of the meals I want to make for the next two weeks and then make a list according to the meals. We might have to go back for milk or bread every once in a while but not to often. Plus, we are pretty strict about not getting anything that's not on the list to cut out unnecessary spending.

We go once a week religiously. We also do a monthly meat run at the local butcher shop and do a monthly trip to BJs for the bulk stuff. We still spend too much money, but so much of it is fresh fruits and veggies so I kind of justify it that way.
We go every day. BUT our fridge and freezer are the size of the kind you have in college and we have ONE storage cabinet. The frozen food aisles are only 4 doors--2 of which are ice cream so the option of frozen food isn't something we do. Once a month, we get our big stuff delivered and get all our meats and canned goods for the month (we don't have a car and carry stuff back and forth from the store can be a pain).
Probably once every other week. I work 2 nights a week, and we have dinner at FILs once a week and SILs once a week, so we only do dinner together at home maybe 2-3 times a week. I do buy stuff for DS weekly though - diapers, formula, baby food, etc. Usually at Walmart.
We go once a week for the most of the items. I may also go to BJs or Target once a week to get other stuff we need like paper product, formula, etc. My husband and I alternate going to the grocery store because he can really stick to the list and I buy random crap along with the weekly groceries.
Generally I go once a week. I actually LOVE to grocery shop, I get excited to go. I've been trying to go once every 1.5-2 weeks but I'm failing pretty miserably because we go through so much fresh produce.
I only grocery shop once every other week. I plan my meals out for two weeks before going. I freeze the meat and we eat a combination of fresh veggies and canned.
I always end up walking to the grocery store with DD about once a week to pick up small things like milk, fresh bananas, etc. I spend about $20-$25 on those little shopping trips... but I've got it down to where I only spend between $80-100 when I do the big grocery shopping. That's from a combination of meal planning, buying whats on sale, coupons (when I find them... but not very often) and not shopping at the store right across from my house b/c it's a lot more expensive (I only go there to get some small things and to get DD and I out of the house!).
We go about every 2 weeks for a major order. I stock up on items on sale, chicken, ground turkey, etc...We use frozen veggies, and weekly I take a walk to this produce stand/deli a couple blocks away for any deli meats and salad fixings I need. For milks we just run to the convenience store as needed.

ditto
Every weekend. I love to go grocery shopping - all the fresh fruit in my fruit bowl, a full fridge.
Some weekends, we do a full cart or stuff. Other weekends, we only need to stock on up produce b/c we buy meat in bulk and freeze it.
