Please help me (re:cloth diapers)

DH and I plan to use BumGenius 3.0 diapers and have intended to from the beginning. We are both on board with it, but now that I'm getting close I realize, HOW THE HELL DO THEY WORK?!?

Lol i mean in theory it's obvious, but can someone give me like a cloth diapers 101 lesson? Besides the diapers, what do I need? Where do I keep them when they're dirty? What do you do when you're out? Um, do you rinse off the liquidy poop? How do you wash them?

?

I'm worried my clueless ass is going to have our whole house smelling like poop for lack of my cloth diaper education!?

?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. Any help is greatly appreciated!?

    I also use BG and love them. ?You need a pail, you can use a regular garbage can an a pail liner. ?When the pail gets full, you take the liner and dump the whole thing in the washing machine :)

    I don't rinse the poop. ?Prior to eating solids, it all cleans easily. ?Now that she is a toddler, I just plop whatever comes off in the toilet. ?If it is stuck, I scrape a bit with TP and whatever is left just goes off in the wash anyway...

    I do 1 cold wash with 1 tbsp detergent, then 1 hot wash with 1 tbsp detergent + 1tbsp bleach, then 1 cold extra rinse. ?Then dryer. ?That,s it. ?I wash twice a week, but in the beginning you'll want to do it more often since you go through so many diapers. ?

    ?Tehehe! I'm glad you realized all this before you had the baby. I couldn't imagine being in labor and realizing you don't know how to work the dipes. File that under OOPS! Luckily you have come to the right place, these ladies know everything there is to know about CDs and CDing, and are pretty darn nice, too!

    We just use a cheapy 13 gal trash can that has a lid.  Some people use flip top lids but the one we use has a split lid that opens downward (if that makes sense).  For pail liners some people just use pillow cases but we use a Wahmies pail liner. 

    And dont be surprised if right off the bat the BGs dont work for you.  Our little guy (born at 8 lbs 7 oz) leaked out of them until he reached around 12 lbs.
