DD will be one this week. We are weaning her from formula to milk but now I am worried that she won't be able to eat enough to get her necessary calories because she only has one tooth! I guess we should just stick to the jarred baby foods and the few soft finger foods she dos eat (pancakes, cheese, bananas etc). has anyone else been in this type of situation?
Re: 1 year old with one tooth - what to feed her?
Are you worried she won't get enough calories because she doesn't eat many finger foods (ie. she's picky), or because she doesn't have teeth to eat them with?
DD has only two teeth and we do a lot of steamed asparagus, steamed broccoli, pasta, bread, ground beef, chicken cut up into small pieces, cheese, pears, peaches, peas, steamed carrots, cooked potato, etc.
Ellie didn't have many teeth before she turned one but she could eat just about anything, Their gums are more powerful than you think. Just make sure the pieces are small enough so they are not a choking hazard and DC will figure out the rest.
