Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Help! I need tips!!

OK. So I am going to be watching a friend's baby for the next several weeks until school lets out for the summer (she's a 2nd grade teacher).

I know it's going to be immensely hard for her to drop her 3 month old son off tomorrow morning and I need some tips/ideas on how to make it a little easier for her.

I've always been a SAHM so I don't know what she's going through but I can only imagine it will be a very emotional morning for her!

  • I remember when I had to leave DD (who is now 8) at daycare...it was awful and I cried alot. The only thing I can say is just remind her that he is in good hands and that she can call anytime throughout the day to check in on the LO. Its an emotional moment, but she will get thru.

  • Hi.  I don't post very often, but you could do what my mom did when I went back to work.  My mom (who was visiting from out of town) watched Ally (who is now 8 mos old) for two weeks before she went into daycare.  She would text me basically every hour or two to let me know what was going on.  She sent me pics or little videos via phone also.  It really put my mind at ease.

     Maybe that would help!
