hi ladies,

I've been away from this board for awhile. I had a m/c back in December and had a D&E. Did another IVF cycle, got a BFP. Just had my 6 week u/s and there was only a yolk sac - no fetal pole, no heartbeat. RE said it measured at 5.5 weeks and it should have been 6.5 weeks.

I'm strongly considering letting the m/c happen naturally this time. I'm tired of surgeries.

    I am so so sorry for your loss and for everything you've been through.  I haven't had the same journey you've had, but do understand the pain of m/c and the pain of IF.  I'm so sorry!  Sending you ((HUGS))!!

    I wonder if you could just be a little farther behind? 

    Some people hang on to hope for things like that, I know I couldn't but you may want to give it another week and recheck the US..just incase?  I've read some miracle stories.

    If not, and you want to wait for natural MC I think that would be the best, surgery is hard.

    DD1(4):VSD & PFO (Closed!), Prenatal stroke, Mild CP, Delayed pyloric opening/reflux, Brachycephaly & Plagiocephaly, Sacral lipoma, Tethered spinal cord, Compound heterozygous MTHFR, Neurogenic bladder, Urinary retention & dyssynergia, incomplete emptying, enlarged Bladder with Poor Muscle Tone, EDS-Type 3. Mito-Disorder has been mentioned

    DD2(2.5): Late term premie due to PTL, low fluid & IUGR, Reflux, delayed visual maturation, compound heteroygous MTHFR, PFAPA, Bilateral kidney reflux, Transient hypogammaglobulinemia, EDS-Type 3

    yeah, I kept asking the dr. if it could catch up, and he wasn't very optimistic. we are going back for one more ultrasound next week, just to be sure. I have to say that the u/s image was pretty depressing - it didn't look anything like my last 6 wk u/s when we saw the hb. It was just an empty sac.

    I'm so sorry you are going through this,I wish you so much luck with your next US. If IF you dont get good news - did your Dr give you the option of taking misoprostal? You insert the pills vaginally and the MC happens at home within hours. Not comfortable at all but over with fast. I took it because I couldnt stand the idea of waiting. A lot of girls here have used it, some with luck and some still had to have a D&C to clear everything.I had an US the next day and everything was gone. GL
