Bad acting in the Twilight movie

True?  Is it worth it to go see the movie?  I'm skeptical since the books just got worse and worse as the "SAGA" went on, although I admit to really enjoying the 1st

Re: Bad acting in the Twilight movie

  • I don't know, but I imagine the only way it could be even remotely true to the book is if the acting was awful

  • I am actually watching it right NOW! Its paused currently because dd is having a meltdown :(

Its ok. So far bad acting by everyone besides the 2 main characters. I am glad that I didn't rush to the movies to see it. BUT I think I am only halfway thru!

  • I keep wondering about the books.  I kind of want to know what all the fuss is about but keep wondering if it's worth the effort.

  • It's definitely not the best movie out there and I agree with the PP that the two main characters are the most talented of all the actors in the movie. But, it wasn't horrible. Kind of a guilty pleasure. You know it's corny, but somehow a bit entertaining anyway.
  • But it wouldn't be true to the overly dramatic books if the acting wasn't overly dramatic as well! And it is, oh, it is.

There is this one close up shot of Edward's face where it literally looks like he is about to spew...the entire theater cracked up at it!

  • It's Twilight. How could the movie not be horrible??

It's not, unless you have a compulsive need to keep up with popular trends (like myself).

I was seeing people on Facebook with messages like "Twilight will change your life." And so I was intrigued and confused.

Eh...I would describe it as a guilty pleasure read if you have nothing else to do (like you've got a flight and time to kill). Cheesy romance.

  • Yeah it's crap acting, no doubt....but if you've read at least the first book, it's worth a $1 redbox rental for sure.
