-the laundry is done
-the nursery is done
-we've gone to dinner
-we've gone to the movies
-we've had sex (for fun, not to induce)
-the house is clean
-freezer is FULL of food
-carseat is installed, and car has been detailed and cleaned
-I've read the baby books
-I've read the sleep books
-I've read the breastfeeding books
-I work from home so I've already had time to relax and sleep whenever I want
-baby classes are done, birth plan is written and signed by the doc, and we've pre registered at the hospital
-hospital bag is packed
So...just wait at this point? Am I missing anything that I *must* do before this little kid is born? I think I'm ready if he comes early, but I'm not doing anything to encourage it. I'm still comfy and can wait until he's ready.
Re: At 38.5 weeks, what's left to do...?
Go see every movie you've ever wanted to see, eat out at all your favorite restaurants, and sleep more than you ever thought you'd want to. Please, for me
Edit: Damn, guess I should have read more closely. Well go see all the movies again, haha
Do you have everything you will personally need for when you come home?
Pads
Tucks/hemroid cream
Things like that?
did you finish all your thank you cards from your shower. i had mine late (3 weeks before ds was born) and I am still not finished!
Get a manicure/pedicure/haircut/eyebrow wax, etc.
Enjoy the time with your hubby and that baby in your belly!!
This is what I was going to say!
-thank you cards were written the day of the shower
-I've slept all I wanted to (I'm still very comfortable and can sleep just fine)
-bills until May 1st are paid
-tucks, colace, pads, etc has been purchased as well as nursing tanks
-ah yes, mani/pedi, and hair cut are done
Ok, glad I'm not missing anything. Thanks ladies! Looking forward to joining you soon.
Do you have an email list ready for your DH or someone to send an update when the baby is born?
plenty of comfy clothes to live in when you get home - comfy enough to lie in bed with the baby and decent enough to say hi to friends and family that visit?
a stash of new and wonderful shower gels and lotions, so when you DO get the chance to take a shower, it becomes the greatest thing you have ever done.
photo albums from the past all up to date? you will likely never visit that again if you don't do it now!
drawers. closets, cabinets cleaned out and organized?
or lie around and rest and sleep and watch TV or read.
I didn't see this on your list but it was the most memorable and enjoyable thing I did at 38.5 weeks.
Eat an entire apple crisp. At one sitting.
Hey sniff!
Ditto the mani/pedi and the movies!! Good luck.
