...and I don't think I like it. Arg!!! It's such a pretty yellow during the day but looks really glowy yellow at night. Ugh. Do I re-paint or see if it grows on me?
I'd give it some time. I painted our nursery BRIGHT green, and I had the same concern, but I love it now.
Also, is the lighting exactly how it will be when baby arrives? We have track lighting in there now but are switching it to a pendant, so the intensity of the light will make a difference.
i'd give it a week or two and see. if you still don't like it, i'd repaint- because if you're anything like me, it'll drive you nuts if you don't love it! thankfully paint is a relative easy and cheap fix. good luck!
I made a similar mistake but picked what i thought was a lighter green and ended up with bright lime! i love the color usually, it was one of my wedding colors, but for a baby's room i wasnt so sure. I ended up going a few shades lighter with wide stripes on the two main walls and it looks super cute! maybe that is something to consider?
I would add more layers of lighting since you like the color in the daylight. Make sure it is white light instead of yellow light or that will make the yellow look dingy.
You still have time, so if it were me, I would add the lighting and see if it grows on me because it just may do so and would save you time and $$.
