Type of bedrest: Right now, strict hospital bedrest. I'm on day one of a two-day magnesium sulphate "wash" (and am catheterized, oh joy). After that, they'll put me back on terb and see how I do. I'm not sure whether I'll leave the hospital a pregnant lady on bedrest, or a mommy! One day at a time.

Reason: Pre-term contractions due to irritable uterus. I was started on terbutaline at week 29 which had more or less been working until last night. Even on mag, my contractions are still coming (though not too strong) every 4-7 minutes. Thankfully, my cervix is still high and closed (though a bit soft).

Update: Bailey looks great. The u/s yesterday showed him measuring in at 3.4lbs and 9-10 days ahead as usual. We got a great shot of his face and one of his feet. He looks like he's going to have chubby cheeks like the rest of the babies born in my family. And my cervix is still holding up thank goodness. I did get lectured by the perinatal doc b/c I hadn't felt Bailey move much thursday or friday morning. He said if I can't get him to move by drinking something sweet or with caffine and laying down I have to call my OB immediately. He wasn't very happy with me about me waiting. I don't have to see him again until April 10th. He wants me on opposite weeks I see my OB.
QOTD: I would save some for school for Bailey and give some away. My splurge would be 2 new cars for dh and I. I want a new car so bad!!
Daisy-glad your appointment went well!
Updates: Went for an outing early this morning to take my dog in for some "maintenance" that we are too grossed out to do ourselves. That was the first time I drove myself with the exception of dr.'s appointments. DH has a military drill weekend so I'm all alone today but my friend is around if I need a ride to the hospital and my mom is coming to visit tomorrow.
QOTD: Great question! Pay off our house, college fund for baby(ies), charity, give to family/friends. Vacation! I guess with the rest I'd be a stay at home mom or work part-time to keep my certification!

QOTD: Pay off all our debt and school loans, buy DH a different car with 4 doors instead of 2 to make it easier to get the baby in and out, and college fund. Perhaps have some $ leftover to start a downpayment on a house. Without our debt, I could just work PT or be a SAHM

QOTD: ?I'd buy a house (which, in this area, would easily take up the whole $1m!) and use the rest of the money to invest in my two side businesses.?
Update: Woke up @ 9:20 a.m. today when intense cramping under my belly started. Almost thought this was the real thing because it felt like a 9 or 10 on a scale of 1-10 as far as how painful it was but I got up and started walking because I didn't really want to wake up DH and we both find out its another false alarm. So I walked down the hall for the next 5 minutes, just waiting to see if another wave would come and also started drinking some ice water. Two minutes later, it started wavering off and just stopped.
Phew! Poor DH just came home from work @ around 6 a.m. and then started putting together the rocker that got delivered yesterday afternoon, so I really had to make sure!
QOTD: I'd save half for savings/retirement and then the other half on paying off our house, do some remodeling projects, give some to siblings and parents and then start a little nest egg for baby.
Qotd: if I had a millions dollars.... id be rich (sorry song is in my head) Lets see, Id buy a new home, a new car and invest for Jr's college. Probably go on a little vacation before the baby comes (you know... when Im allowed outta bed.. lol)
Updates: getting ready to go to hospital to get blood drawn to check my progesterone levels. I hate needles but Im excited to leave the house!! whoo hoo. I dont seem to have any spotting today which is great!

Same status as before. Still on bedrest but feeling contractions more through terbutaline meds.
If I had 1 mill, I'd pay off all our debt, invest some money and build a modest home. Oh how I wish!

UPDATE: Baby Bryson is looking so good that he shouldnt need the chest tube after birth to drain the fluid in his lung. And that since the fluid has gone down so much the rest that's left on his right lung is not enough to cause any breathing issues. Baby is growing bigger and looking sooo good. Docs are looking to induce at 34 weeks. On the other hand I was having some pretty strong contractions 2nite and had to get a shot of terb....blah i am jittery as hell lol.
QOTD: Pay off our cars, get rid of the debt, build a home, and take a lovely vacation. If anything is left over bank it.
