One more post! Thank you notes & birth announcements?

I didn't mail all of my shower thank you notes yet, would it be bad/weird to mail them with birth announcements? It seems silly to me to mail them separately at this point.

    I didn't for shower gifts since my shower was a while ago, but any gifts that have come in the past few weeks, I sent a thank you in with the announcement. It made sense to me too!!
