I just received my EOB for the (1 hour) GD test and my provider billed $1,000 for the test -- of which my insurance estimates my portion will be $250. Is this comparable to what your provider billed for the test? Seems really excessive for what amounts to a quick blood draw.
Re: GD Test and Insurance
WHAT????
$1000 for a stupid soda and a blood draw? You've got to be kidding me. I'd call the doc and biitch them out. Big time. That's ridiculous.
I actually have no clue what we are paying. My office has everything in one package and my insurance pays 90%. My 10% part is only $250. And that includes everything, including getting an ultrasound at every appointment.
That sounds a little wierd to me.
I'm JEALOUS! I want an ultrasound at every appointment. Like I mentioned, we are self pay. So far our total will be $2500 for dr. appts. and 1 ultrasound. We are supposed to get another ultrasound at 36 weeks, but I'm paying $300 a pop. Boo. I want to live where you do!
ugh, that sucks.
i have no idea how much it costs seeing as i only have to pay $100 for my delivery/hospital stay.
that does seem outrageous though.
Apparently I shouldnt complain about Tulsa as much as I do. I couldnt imagine paying all of that! Insane! I have pretty good insurance. But the doctor is still really good and includes an u/s at every appointment.
Hes actually my 2nd dr. I changed from my first OB bc she never tested my urine but had it in my charts that she did! (long story). But I ended up picking him because my sister in law went to him and she told me he did an u/s at every appt. Hes a great dr too. Im sorry you only get one!
