Do you take DHA?

At my appt today my doc strongly suggested that I start taking a DHA supplement to help aid in the brain and eye development of my baby. I already take a prenatal vitamin, but she recommended taking Expecta Lipil (I think that's what it's called), which is DHA. Does anyone take this one or any other DHA??

I picked up a DHA supplement from GNC. My OB had recommended it as well b/c my prenatal does not have DHA in it. Many prenatals these days have DHA.

I don't know. It's a softgel I think? I'm the type that takes pills without water all the time, so I don't even notice! Sorry!

I take Expecta Lipil along with my prenatals. Its better to be safe then sorry

I take Expecta as well, they are pretty small soft gels, you shouldn't have much of a problem with them!

I take the Once-A-Day prenatals. It's two pills, one prenatal vitamin and one DHA. The DHA are a little large (like a vitamin E capsule) If you can't handle a larger pill, why don't you check out the infant stuff. I see ads in the parenting magazines for baby stuff with DHA in it.

I take Expecta Lipil also - and be sure to check the inserts in the box - there is often a $2 off coupon for your next purchase!

Also, I take mine with milk, that way I get a serving of dairy in, and it helps coat my vitamin and DHA so I can swallow them easier.

I take prenatal plus, it is a free one that is offered at a local grocery store. It is not a gel cap, so I am assuming it doesn't have DHA. Last pg I took a gel cap. I plan on talking to RN about it at my appt on Monday. She wrote for the "freebie" b/c I requested it, but if it is better to take one with DHA, then I will for sure do that. Or maybe I can just get and OTC supplement. I remember tasting "fish" randomly throughout the day lst pg, which is kinda gross
