At what point do you give up and close up shop, so to speak? It seems DD will only stay on for a few minutes, including when I let down, and after that, it's on and off, on and off, totally distracted by everything. She'd do it forever if I let her. Just wondering if anyone has a time limit for feedings like this...
Re: If your LO pops on and off the breast while BFing...
Depends on what is going on- if I am annoyed with it or not
Sometimes I have to put a blanket over her face so she isn't so distracted.
I have no time limit, but is she keeps popping off to eat my arm I am done with feeding her. If she pops off because someone walks in the room or the dog barks, I let her eat more.
I am dealing with that now, and in turn, we are weaning. I work ft, and he just prefers the bottle more at this point.
It's not a supply issue right? I do know our babies are really distractable right now. It's even hard feeding him a bottle.
GL.
Ugh, DS was doing that a couple of weeks ago. ?I've started weaning him now and since he's only nursing 3 x a day he's much more serious about it. ?We're having a hard time getting him to take a bottle of milk or formula so I think he's making up for it by nursing longer each time.
It is super annoying though, I hear ya. ?Not sure what the answer is.?
