How much water does your DC drink daily?

It seems like Madi doesn't drink enough water. She will only drink a couple oz if I just put it in a regular sippy. I have to fancy it up in order to get her to drink more... cup with lid and straw, and ice in it, or drink from my cup. She drinks about 15-20 oz of milk a day. How much should she be drinking total?

DS downs his milk cup at the start of every meal and then I refill it with water so he has something to drink while he eats. In the morning I put a splash of OJ in it, like not even an ounce, and at night I'll do a splash of some other juice. The rest of the time it's just water, but he'll drink more when that bit of juice is in there. I don't think we get in more than 12 oz a day most of the time.

I fill up a sippy with water in the morning and it usually lasts DS all day. ?I'd say he drinks about 6 oz of water a day. ?He LOVES milk and drinks about 24 oz a day, he'd drink more if I let him. ?

I only give DD water if we're out of the house. At home, the only thing she drinks is milk, for meals and snacks. If we go to the park or pool, or are running errands, I bring along water and she'll drink a few ounces tops. (Being in AZ, I suspect you do the same thing!) My DD doesn't drink a ton of milk, either. About 10-15 oz/day.

I think as long as she's being offered liquids, she won't dehydrate herself (unless she's sick).

a lot. i mean not an over abundance, but she has watered down milk a few times a day, she drinks water straight out of the faucet in the shower or tub, she loves my water bottles when they are lying around...

dc get milk at the 3 big meals a day. at snacktimes they get watered down juice... 2/3 or 3/4 water, with a little juice... or ice water. I like to try to keep some ice water out. if it's in a plastic cup and looks like it's mommy's they will drink it up. lol. they will drink more over the summers.

none, but that is because she is very small (doesn't register on the growth charts in ther percentages anymore), and the pedi doesn't want her taking in "zero" calories. She wants her to drink milk only so that she is getting some calories. trying to fatten her up!
