Hi, Lebraly.
I keep looking at the little nail caps on your beautiful cat.
Did you start using them when s/he was a kitten? Did it take awhile for him/her to get used to them?
My kitty is an old man of 15. I think, at this late date, I have finally found a scratching surface that has enticed him away from the furniture. But I'm wondering if I should try those little nail thingies, or if I need to start at kittenhood with future family members...
Thanks!
Re: oh lebraly! Kitty question.
I started using them last year when she was 11. My cat is generally referred to as Satan by those who know her and she is banned (seriously) from several vet offices on the Eastern coast. I give that background so you know that if I can use them on her, anyone can use them. She fights having them put on a little so I just do one paw at a time but once they are on she forgets about them.
They are fantastic. I recommend them to everyone, especially anyone who is considering declawing (obviously, you aren't).

Good luck.
(Butting in...)
I considered them for kitty. Vet advised that they come off every few weeks, and that my kitty isn't enough of a scratcher to warrant them. Depends on your cat.
But they sure do look cute! And they come in fun colors for seasonally appropriate Kitty fashion
That's true, they do come off every couple of weeks and you have to check on them because they don't all come off at the same time.
If Sara wasn't such a furniture anihilator, I probably wouldn't bother.
Thanks so much for the info.
Do they glue on? And if so, how long does the kitty have to stay still until they set?
I can't believe a cute kitty named Sara is nicknamed Satan. Ha!
Aidan isn't a horrible furniture scratcher (by my standards. DH would say otherwise). But if his love for the so-far-successful scratching pad fades and he turns his attention to the couch again, I'm going out to get these things!
Future kitties will get them from kittenhood on.
They use a glue to put them on. They kitty doesn't have to stay still too much after you put them on . I usually let Sara go right away.
Don't let her cuteness fool you. That's how she attracts her victims. LOL
