WWYD: Interview

in 1st Trimester

Ok, so I have a phone interview at this company that is pretty much my dream place to work. I got the interview because my husband works with a guy who's wife works at the company. My husband's coworker knows I am pregnant, but he did not tell his wife because he thought that should be up to me to tell her, which I thought was cool.

Should I play this like any other situation where I should wait till after I get an offer to tell them? I don't want to cause drama between the husband and wife or piss off my possible new employer, but I really want the job!

    I should mention also that it is the wife's job I would be getting as she and her husband are moving to Texas.

    I wouldn't tell them until an offer has been made and/or until you enter your second trimester.

    No, I would not offer up the info.  Wait until they offer you the job.

    Don't worry about creating a problem between the husband and wife.. he's a guy and it probably doesn't even occur to him to tell her :)

    I would wait till you get an offer. especially if you are replacing the wife when she moves it isn't like you are putting her job/reputation in jepordy or anything she will be long gone before you have to come clean.

    Agree! Also to wait til after the first tri.. and if they ask why you waited to tell, you explain that the 1st tri is when things could happen, so you wanted to be safe. Smile GL with the job interview..

    I have a second interview on Monday and I am not telling the company until I am in my 2nd trimester.

    I interviewed for a job at 6w and was advised not to mention it, but no one else knew about it so I could do that. ?However, if they ever do say something, you can say "it was very early in pregnancy and I really didn't plan to tell anyone until we were clear into the 2nd trimester". ?That is pretty normal and perfectly fine.
