about being pregnant. I work with some Sages and pregnancy Buddha's
At this morning's staff meeting, "there's donuts over there, I bet you'd like to eat a dozen of them, it looks like you haven't minded so far."
"Your shoes don't seem to have good enough tread on them to be walking around and being pregnant"
"Are you sure you should take the elevator? You should exercise as long as you can so you don't gain so much weight."
And the winner for today...
"Can you pull your shirt up, when I touch a pregnant belly, I love to touch the skin" (Umm, no, I didn't say you could touch me in the first place, I'm not a petting zoo, and no one else in the office wants to see that!).
Ugg...I'm so glad that I don't have to see these people for two days! I hope everyone gets a few laughs out of these genius comments though!
Edit: I work with a bunch of men, most of them old enough to be my dad and they think they are funny when they make pg. comments to me. The very odd receptionist is who asked to touch me.
Re: Crap I've heard today...
Wow. I am so glad people don't try to touch me, I think I give off a strong "do not touch" vibe. I am so not a touchy feely type person, I don't even want my mom to touch me and I am sure it is going to happen again soon. Ick.
What crazy people you work with though!
I can't believe people actually say those things!! I never got any stupid comments like I read about all the time, and I'm so glad. Maybe they could tell by looking at me that I would punch them
I'm so sorry you have to deal with that crap. Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon.
