My hands are sooo swollen... I haven't had this problem until recently. I asked my dr yesterday about it at my appt and she didn't seem too worried... anyone else swelling really bad in the hands or feet???
Yep. Mine started at 29 weeks too. I actually went to L&D to get some tests done for pre-e because I had really bad sudden swelling in my hands that I had never had before then. My feet/ankles get really swollen if I sit for a while and don't put them up.
Yep, it isn't all the time but my feet and hands both swell up on occasion, and it will go away if I take it easy and cut back on sodium and up my water intake for a day or two.
My swelling has been off and on since about 24-25 weeks. In the first instance, it was mainly because of it being the height of summer (I live in the southern hemisphere), but now it's just random. I had poor circulation in my legs and feet before, so I already had compression stockings to wear before I got pregnant. I find that they've been really helpful during pregnancy, too, although they aren't as comfortable around my knees anymore.
I second pp's suggestion to up your fluid intake and try and put your feet up when possible. I also like to sleep with my feet propped up on a pillow, so that when I wake up, my feet and ankles are back to a more normal size. You can also try massaging them, especially before you go to bed. I try to get DH to do it for me - I just tell him my belly is in the way, and I can't reach them myself ;-)
Oh yeah, had to take my wedding rings off last month and my feet are so freakish looking. My Dr. isn't too worried about it though, just another fun part of pregnancy!
just my LEFT foot is swelling so far... yeah... just the one. Its a little annoying 'cause I think I notice it more because I have the other "normal" one to compare it to! Its definitely worse after a long day of work on my feet, but the swelling usually goes down by the next morning. Mine started the day after DH and I went to CBC (go figure!) which was about 31 weeks. I've also been having a lot of extra joint pain and "shin splits" (sharp shooting pain that lasts most of the day from my ankle to my knee)... anyone else feeling that?

Eeeks! I'm having that swelling in my left foot only too! I look like I have an elephant foot. Weird. Something about how the blood flows back to the heart on that side?

My ankles officially disappeared three days ago. The right foot is a lot more swollen than the left...weird.
I feel like Shrek.
