OPKs Driving Me Nuts

Yesterday morning I had an OPK that was about 1/2 as dark as the control line  -- obviously not positive, but encouraging because I haven't seen a real line to speak of before.  I decided to test again in the afternoon and there was no test line to speak of, so I thought maybe I had just caught the end of my surge.  When my temp dropped this morning, I decided to test again -- same 1/2 as dark line.  This is so annoying!  When are they going to invent the "You're ovulating" flashing sign for you abdomen?

    I've been having the same issue with my OPKs this cycle.  I'd pay big bucks for that flashing sign!

    I was seriously OPK challenged.  Can not stand them.  The worst part was doing it at work, since I had heard it's better to test in the afternoon.  I switched to the CBEFM, because I'm compulsive like that, but at the same time it was nice to have the guess work taken out of it for me.

    Ha! This is the first time I've used them and yeah, they've been driving me nuts too! Wednesday morning my test line was far darker than the control line, same thing yesterday morning, but I tested again last night and it was much lighter. I figured I possibly ovulated during the day, but I decided to test again this morning and the test line was far darker than the control line again, WTH?!?!

    I did go out to dinner last night and had two beers within a couple of hours before testing, so could that have thrown it off possibly?? I thought maybe I had just ovulated during the day, but when I got a positive again this morning it confused me. Huh?

    Nope- beer/alcohol won't affect the results of an OPK :)

    Have you ladies tried the digitals?  You can POAS as often as you want, and the :) means it detected a surge and the next 24-48 hours are when you will ovulate.  Best part is, you can stop testing once you get the smiley face so there is no confusion about the lines getting lighter/darker...

    Plus if you still want to look at the lines for fun you can just pull the stick out of the reader and see them...
